“Big Course” Development Award Application

Tenure-stream and teaching-stream faculty in ROMS are eligible to apply for this $1,500 award, designed to provide summer funding to prepare a New Course Proposal or Course Revision to create a large course (at least 50-70 students) taught in English at the 100-level. The successful faculty member will submit a formal course proposal to the CIM by August 2021, to be reviewed by the UGAC and presented to the faculty for approval at the September 2021 faculty meeting. The course should be offered 2022-2023 academic year and at least twice in the following 5 years. (Please note that these large courses will not count toward Romance Studies majors/minors but are instead intended to bring non-majors into contact with Romance Studies.) Complete applications are due by Monday, April 19 at 5:00pm.
